Coaches' Philosophy
As coaches at Peninsula High School, our goal is to create a healthy environment that encourages and teaches athletes to learn and develop on and off the field. We strive to motivate athletes to not only be skilled at their sport, but to also be servant leaders who live with integrity & respect in both good and bad times. We want to continue to inspire athletes to give back to not only their school, but also to the community. We want to provide a culture that cultivates athletes to become confident leaders.
RABECCA HOOPER
Head Coach
Rabecca Hooper has been a coach at Peninsula since 2015. She was given an opportunity to take over the program in 2018 which has been so much fun! Coach Rabs is originally from Sumner, WA where she cheered in junior and high school and attended Pacific Lutheran University earning her bachelors in Communication Studies and minor in Sport Psychology. Coach Rabs’ favorite part of being a coach is building relationships with such amazing young and talented athletes and their families. Coaching them cheer is just an added bonus. :) Her and her husband, Marcus, own a Construction company and reside in Olalla with their 2 boys, 2 dogs and cat. Her husband Marcus is a proud PHS alumni c/o 2007 and she cannot imagine coaching anywhere else but Peninsula! Go Seahawks!
KALEIGH BAKER
Assistant Coach
Kaleigh Baker moved from Massachusetts in 2023 and now resides in Silverdale. Coach Kaleigh joined our team as assistant coach in fall of 2024. Coach Kaleigh cheer at Chicopee High School until 2015. After which, she attended the University of New England, where she earned her bachelor's in biomedical sciences. While there, Coach Kaleigh cheered for 4 years and attended NCA Nationals for 3 years. After graduation, Coach Kaleigh went on to earn her Masters of Biomedical Sciences at Elms College and her Bachelors of Nursing also at Elms College. Besides coaching, Coach Kaleigh is an RN at Tacoma General. Coach Kaleigh's favorite part of being a coach is seeing the growth, within the sport and individually, that each athlete has throughout a season! I cannot wait to continue coaching and supporting Peninsula
