Coaches' Philosophy
As coaches at Peninsula High School, our goal is to create a healthy environment that encourages and teaches athletes to learn and develop on and off the field. We strive to motivate athletes to not only be skilled at their sport, but to also be servant leaders who live with integrity & respect in both good and bad times. We want to continue to inspire athletes to give back to not only their school, but also to the community. We want to provide a culture that cultivates athletes to become confident leaders.
Jonny Walker
Head Coach
Jonny Walker stepped into the program in 2025 and has loved every minute of the opportunity. Originally from Gig Harbor, WA, he cheered at Peninsula High School before attending and cheering for Central Washington University, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Administrative Management with a specialization in Network Administration.
Coach Jonny brings a diverse coaching background, having previously coached cheer at Selah High School and served as the interim cheer coach at CWU. He has also been deeply involved in the wrestling community, coaching the Gig Harbor Grizzlies and Harbor Ridge Middle School, and has been a member of the Peninsula High School coaching staff since 2022.
