REQUIREMENTS & EXPECTATIONS
Tryouts for the upcoming school year will be from April 8-10th! Whether you have previous experience or are new to cheerleading, we encourage all to tryout! Please view the information below on expectations, requirements and forms to complete.

1. REGISTER FOR FINAL FORMS BY APRIL 4th AT NOON!
Final Forms must be filled out by all individuals that plan to attend tryouts! You will not be able to tryout without an up to date physical!!!!!

2. READ THROUGH PHS CHEER EXPECTATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
Please take the time to read through our requirements & expectations for the 2025-2026 varsity cheer season in our contract. We uphold our athletes to high standards, as they are leaders in our school & community. Contract, with athlete and parent signatures, will need to be emailed to Coach Jonny or brought to the first day of tryouts.
Below you will see a link to 25-26 cheer contract and tryout contract. Please bring both signed documents to tryouts or email them to Walkerjj@psd401.net.

WHAT CAN I DO TO GET READY FOR TRYOUTS?
Fitness

Stretch daily

Start a strength training & cardio regiment

Maintain a healthy diet, making sure to consume a good amount of water

Get familiar with the basics of cheer (motions, jumps & etc.)
